# 1.

Arabia is the land of unparalleled charm
and beauty, with its trackless deserts of sand in the dazzling
rays of the tropical sun. Its starry sky has excited the imagination
of poets and travelers. It was in this land that the Rasool was born, in the
city of Makkah, which is about fifty miles from the Red Sea.

عرب بےمثال دلکشی اور خوبصورتی کی زمین ہے۔ جس میں ریت کے ٹیلوں کے
گمنام صحرا ہیں۔ جن میں سورج کی انتہائی تیز شعاعیں ہیں۔ اس کا ستاروں سے پھرا
آسمان شاعروں کے خیالات کو پرجوش بنا دیتا ہے۔ حضور پاک اسی سرزمین کے شہر مکہ میں
پیدا ہوئے جو کہ بحیرہ احمر سے تقریبا پچاس میل دور ہے۔

# 2.

The Arabs possessed a remarkable
memory and were an eloquent people. Their eloquence and memory found
expression in their poetry. Every year a fair was held for poetical
competitions at Ukaz. It is narrated that Hammad said to Caliph Walid
Bin Yazid: “I can recite to you, for each letter of the alphabet, one hundred
long poems, without taking into account short pieces, and all of that was composed
exclusively by poets before the promulgation of Islam.” It is no
small wonder that Allah almighty chose the Arabic language for his final dispensation
and preservation of His word.

عرب لوگ غیر معمولی یاداشت رکھتے تھےاور فصیح لوگ تھے۔ ان کی روانی
اور یاداشت کا اظہار ان کی شاعری میں ہوتا ہے۔ ہرسال عکاز میں شاعری کے مقابلوں کا
ایک میلا منعقد ہوتا تھا۔ روایت ہے کہ حماد نے خلیفہ ولید بن یزید سے کہا،
“میں حروف تہجی کے ہر ایک حرف کیلئے سو طویل نظمیں پڑھ سکتا ہوں ان کو مختصر
کے بغیر اور یہ تمام حرف اسلام کے ظہور سے پہلے کے شعراٰ کی ہونگی۔ یہ کوئی چھوٹی
سی تعجب کی بات نہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے آخری احکام کی اشاعت اور حفاظت کیلئے
عربی زبان کو منتخب کیا۔

# 3.

In
the fifth and sixth centuries, mankind stood on the verge of chaos.
It seemed that civilization which had taken four thousand years to grow
had started crumbling. At this point in time, Allah mighty raised a
Rasool among themselves to lift humanity from ignorance into the
light of faith.

پر کھڑی تھی۔ ایسا لگتا تھا کہ وہ تہذیب جس نے پروان چڑھنے میں چار ہزار سال لگائے
ڈگمگانا شروع ہو گئی تھی۔ عین اسی وقت اللہ تعالیٰ نے انسانیت کو جہالت سے اُٹھا
کر ایمان کی روشنی میں لانے کیلئے انہی میں سے ایک رسول کو پیدا کیا۔

# 4.

When Hazrat Muhammad was thirty-eight years of
age, he spent most of his time in solitude and meditation. In the
cave of Hira, he used to retire with food and water and spend days and weeks in
remembrance of Allah Almighty.

جب حضرت محمدﷺ اڑھتیس سال کے تھے تو آپ اپنا زیادہ تر وقت
تنہا ئی اورغوروفکر میں گزارتے تھے۔ وہ خوراک اور پانی لے کر غار حرا میں کناراکش
ہو جایا کرتے تھے اور کئی دن اور ہفتے اللہ تعالیٰ کی یا د میں گزارتے تھے۔

# 5.

The period of waiting had come to a
close. His heart was overflowing with profound compassion for
humanity. He had a pressing urge to eradicate wrong beliefs,
cruelty and injustice. The moment had arrived when he was to be bestowed
with Nabuwat. One day, when he was in the cave of Hira, Hazrat Jibril
(Gabriel) came and conveyed to him the following message of Allah Almighty.

“Read in
the name of thy Lord who created; created man from a clot (of congealed
blood): Read and tiny Lord is most Bountiful, who taught (the use
of) the pen, taught man that which he knew not”. (Quran, 96:1-5)

انتظارکا وقت ختم ہونے والا تھا۔ آپ کا دل انسانیت کی گہری
ہمدردی کیلئے چھلک تھا۔ آپ کی سماجی برائیوں، غلط عقائد، ظلم اور نا انصافی کو ختم
کرنے کی زبردست خواہش تھی۔ وہ لمحہ آ چکا تھا جب نبوت سے سرفراز ہو نے والے تھے۔
ایک دن جب آپ غارحرا میں تھے، حضرت جبرائیل آئےاور آپ تک اللہ تعالیٰ کا یہ پیغام
پہنچایا۔

“پڑھ اپنے رب کے نام سے جس نےپیدا کیا۔ جس نے انسان کو
جمے ہوئے خون سے پیدا کیا۔ پڑھ اور آپکا رب بڑا کریم ہے۔ جس نے قلم کے ذریعے علم
سکھایا اور انسان کو وہ کچھ سکھایا جو نہیں جانتا تھا”۔

# 6.

The revelation of the divine message which continued for the
next twenty-three years had begun, and the Rasool had arisen to proclaim
the oneness of Allah (Tauheed) and the unity of mankind. His mission was to
destroy the nexus of superstition, ignorance, and disbelief,
and setup a noble conception of life and lead mankind to the light of
faith and divine bliss.

اور رسول اکرم اللہ تعالیٰ کی وحدت اور نسل انسانیت کے اتحادکا اعلان کیا۔ آپ کا
مقصد اوہام پرستی، جہالت اور بے یقینی کی فضاکوختم کرنا تھا۔ زندگی کا ایک عظیم
تصور کرنا اور انسان کو ایمان کی روشنی اور ہمیشہ کی خوشی کی طرف رہنمائی کرنا
تھا۔

Paragraph
# 7.

Since this belief was threatening their dominance in the
society, the pagan Arabs started to mount pressure on the Rasool and his
followers. They wanted them to renounce their cause and take to idol-worshipping.
On one occasion, they sent a delegation to the Rasool’s kind and caring
uncle, Abu Talib. They told             him
to restrain the Rasool from preaching Allah Almighty’s message,
or face their enmity. Finding himself in a dilemma, he sent for
his nephew, and explained to him the situation. The Rasool responded with these
memorable words:

“My dear uncle, if they put the sun in my right hand and the moon is in my
left, even I shall not abandon the proclamation of the Oneness of
Allah (Tauheed). I shall set up the true faith upon the earth or perish in the
attempt.”

چونکہ یہ عقیدہ معاشرے میں ان کے غلبے کیلئے خطرہ پیدا
کررہا تھا۔ کفارعرب نے رسول اکرم اور ان کے پیروکاروں پر دبائو بڑھانا شروع کر
دیا۔ وہ چاہتے تھےکہ آپ اپنے اولین مقصد کو چھوڑ کر بت پرستی اختیارکر لیں۔ ایک
موقع پر انہوں نےآپ کےپیارے چچا ابوطالب کے پاس ایک وفد بھیجا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وہ
رسول اللہ کے پیغام کی تبلیغ سے روکیں یا پھر ان کی دشمنی کا سامنا کریں۔ خود کو
مشکل حالات میں دیکھ کر انہوں نے اپنے بھتیجے کو پیغام بھیجا اور آپ کومعاملے کی
وضاحت کی۔ رسول اکرم نے ان یادگارالفاظ میں جواب دیا۔

میرے چچا جان، اگر وہ میرے دائیں ہاتھ میں سورج اور بائیں
ہاتھ میں چاندرکھ دیں میں پھر بھی اللہ تعالیٰ کی وحدانیت کی تبلیغ کو نہیں چھوڑوں
گا۔ میں زمین پر عقیدہ حق کو قائم کروں گا یا اس کوشش میں ختم ہو جائوں گا۔

# 8.

The Rasool’s uncle was so impressed with his nephew’s firm determination
that he replied:

“Son on my brother, go thy way; none will dare touch thee. I shall never forsake
thee.”

جرائت نہیں کرے گا۔ میں آپ کوکبھی تنہا نہیں چھوڑوں گا۔

# 9.

And the Rasool did go the way Allah
Almighty had chosen for him. Imbued with divine guidance and firm
resolve, the Rasool encountered all the challenges with grace
and dignity. In no time he elevated man to the highest possible
level in both spiritual and worldly domains. He was also a
driving force behind the Arab conquests, which have created an everlasting
impression on human history. No wonder, he is universally acknowledged
as the most influential figure in history. In the words of Michael Hart,
a great historian:

“Muhammad, however, was responsible for
both the theology of Islam and its main ethical and moral
principles. In addition, he played a key role in proselyting the new
faith, and in establishing the religious practices… In fact as the driving
force behind the Arab conquests, he may well rank as the most influential
political leader of all time…. The conquests of seventh century have continued
to play an important role in the human history, down to the present day.”

اور نبی اکرم اس راستے پر چلتے گئے جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان
کیلئے منتخب کیا تھا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کی رہنمائی اور پختہ عزم کے ساتھ تمام چیلنجوں
کا مقابلہ ڈٹ کر وقار کے ساتھ کیا۔ کچھ ہی عرصے میں بنی نوع انسان کودونوں روحانی
اور دنیاوی لحاظ سے بلند ترین ممکنہ سطح پر پہنچا دیا۔ آپ عرب فتوحات کے پیچھے بھی
ایک اصل طاقت تھے، جس نے انسانی تاریخ پر لازوال تاثر پیدا کیا۔ یہ حیرانگی کی بات
نہیں کہ آپ کو تاریخ میں ہر جگہ سب سے زیادہ با اثر شخصیت مانا جاتا ہے۔

عظیم تاریخ دان مائیکل ہارٹ کی زبانی:

تاہم حضرت محمدﷺدونوں اسلام کے مذہبی عقائد اورمرکزی
اخلاقیات اوراخلاقی اصولوں کے ذمہ دار تھے۔ اس کے علاوہ انہوں نے نئے دین کی تبلیغ
اورمذہبی رسومات کے قیام میں اہم کردار ادا کیا۔ دراصل عرب فتوحات کے پیچھے اصل
طاقت کے طورپر ان کو تمام وقت کے با اثر ترین رہنما کا عظیم درجہ دیا جاتاہے۔
ساتویں صدی کی فتوحات نے انسانی تاریخ میں آج تک ایک اہم کردارادا کیا ہے۔

# 10.

Such a thorough transformation of man and society owes to Rasool’s deep faith in Allah Almighty, and to the nobility of his
character. Indeed, his life is a perfect model to follow. In reply to a question about the life of Rasool, Hazrat Ayesha said:

“His morals and character are an embodiment of the Holy Quran.”

The final word about the saviour of mankind in the Holy Quran is:

O Nabi surely, we have sent you as a witness, and as a bearer
of good news and as a warner. And as the one inviting to Allah by His
permission, and as a light-giving torch. (Quran, 33:45-46)

حیات مبارکہ تقلید کیلئے بہترین نمونہ ہے۔ رسول اکرمﷺکی زندگی کے بارےمیں ایک سوال
کے جواب میں حضرت عا ئشہ نے فرما یا:

“آپ کے اخلاق حسنہ اور سیرت قرآن پاک کی زندہ مثال
ہیں”

انسانیت کے نجات دہندہ کے بارے میں قرآن پاک میں آخری الفاظ
یہ ہیں:

“اے نبی یقیناہم نے آپکو گواہی دینے والا، بشارت دینے
والا اور ڈرانے والا بنا کر بھیجا اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی اجازت سےاس کی طرف دعوت دینے
والا اور روشن چراغ بنا کر۔
